Buying Pilchards North brisbane

Can anyone recommend a place to get good quality pilchards on the northside not the servo quality?

northside marine do the big box of IQF(?) pilchards and not too badly priced. they also do big box of californian squid

Paul - I only get my bait (when I use it) from Mark at the Spinnaker Sound Kiosk. He can get some great quality IQF pillies etc and will order in what you need in whatever size.

BCF has IQF pillies. 2 kg's or 4 kg's

then just repack them into ziplock bags while still frozen to suit your own pack needs

Another really good place on the Brissie North to get quality bait (inc. Pillies) is the Tackle Shop in Carseldine, at the Caltex Complex...start of Bruce Highway. These guys open mad hours, 5.30am weekdays & I think about 4am on weekends/public Hols? ...best to check first.

Easy to pull in with a boat hooked up:D

Hey all
Hubbie stopped in to see Ben at Carseldine last night and picked up a 15 kg box of IQF Pillies. All large pillies too. We packed them up last night-- 6-12 in a zip lock bag. Great value if you buy a box-- also has large boxes of squid that can be separated easily and packed into bags.
I"m with Tunzafun--Gets my vote.

Forgot to mention that he also has a range of smaller boxes but better value in 10 or 15 kg boxes.
