Creek Cuda

went down the goldie this morning for a quick fish, sent out a live mullet under a float, after about 10 minutes of soaking the reel screams into action, i pick it up and strike and this thing goes wild taking off down the creek, i run down the bank to get clear of a few trees and slowly get him close to the bank so i can see him, a nice barracuda, all of a sudden a GT comes through and tries to take the barracuda swipes at him about 4 times, now the cuda was 65cm long, so im guessing this Gt would have been about 85cm if not bigger.he lost interest after a while and took off, certainly got the blood pumping though.released the cuda to fight another day.Cheers BK.

It certainly would get the blood pumping BK. Interesting to see this as only this morning a mate was over telling how he saw what he thinks was a pretty big cuda on a shallow reef at Redcliffe. He reckons that one was 1 mtr plus long and was happy he didn't hook it on his bream gear. I've wasted all those trips out to the cape and it seems they are over this side of the bay as well!!!!

yeah he wasnt the only one i saw either there was a few around and the biggest would have been close to the metre mark
