Hit Murray in the rain last Monday. Put the boat in on my own at 330am and was greeted by a rather large croc at the ramp.
Chased prawns for four hours and only managed a bucketfull. A few good sized tigers but mainly small to med schoolies. Had enough for a feed and the rest for future bait.

With lots of fresh coming out of the small creeks i fished where it meet the salt. I was using unwieghted live prawns.
First bait out a small barra

I got a few small bream and then i got this? Thought it was a better barra at first. Anyone know what it is? Butterfish, john dory? but its got spots and was a bit purple.

Then it really started to rain so i put out a few live mullet and had a cuppa. The mullet got taken by sharks and a stingray.

I think Gezzza is on the mark - it looks like a spotted scat to me.

good to see a mackay report on here, they are few and far between.

looks like typical mackay day with the rain and all.
