Well today i hit mud for the first time this year and after all that rain i thought it might fire, me and a mate were on deck and casting at 4.20am, stayed untill 7am and didnt raise a scale, my mate caught a 4 inch squire and that was it, never seen it so quite, lots of bait around as well, very calm morning and you could see the schools of bait travelling near the surface but nothing at all into them, put 2 pots out near brisbane river markers for no crabs, so if you planning a trip to mud at least you know. cheers

I know what you mean. I was at Combi Point Moreton and it was very quiet.
A few cod and one legal squire. No bait, no birds, no action at all.
Big tide and the water is sooooo clear at the moment.
Beautiful morning on the water though wasn't it!

Sure was beautifull LNB, but to tell the truth snapper have been so hard to come by this last 12 months thats its beginning to be not worth the effort, might have to get the ultra light gear out and chase flathead..

I fished Mud Sunday morning for 2.5 hours and did not get a single hit.
How were the mozzies today? They were that thick on sunday i had to hold on so they didn't carry me away.
