Am getting hitched in Melbourne in March and am planning on heading out for a day's fishing with the boys in the week beforehand and am looking for some guidance on decent charter operators down there.

Have done one charter down there before with Game Rec Charters out of Queenscliff and had a good day, caught plenty of fish - though no snapper.

Was looking for something similar though will be a different time of year - in March this time around as opposed to December last time.

Will be based in Williamstown, but can get back down to Queenscliff if needed.

Looking for a decent day's fishing and hopefully a few of us can nail our first snapper (though it will be very late season for them).

Any tips on good operators? (is it worthwhile fishing with the boats out of St Kilda - which i presume fish the top end of the Bay - or would it be better to be back down near the mouth of the bay with the snapper heading back out into Bass Strait (and have the option of getting offshore if calm)

Cheers,

Moffy
