kiss n cuddle then back to where she belongs for my new pb lizard caught at the pin 88 cm eclipsed the old record of 86 . taken on a plac with3 kg nylon wow what a fight ,;D one of 19 for the day nearly all released bar 3 nice eaters a 55, 60 ,65 ,great day,great time, great company john thanks never lost 1 while netting them they will be on the bbq tonight .

The old girl would have put up a good fight on 3 Kg line, with a few good head shakes and runs thrown in, I bet.

What size plastic for that beast and where down the Pin was she caught if you don't mind me asking?

breambandit out towards the sea between north and south stradi , might go up a couple of line classes would get them in a bit quicker maybe less stressful on the fish . just wondering how old a fish this size would be ? someone might be able to let me know roughly .

Hi TAZY, my information suggests that an 81cm flathead is around 7 years old, there wont be much research done on bigger ones because of size limitations. cheers wayne

cheers youngy , that would probably make her about 10 then . Its good getting a feed but how grate do you feel releasing a fish like this and watching it swim away. Went out again monday afternoon , at pin 4 ish flicked placs till 6.45 for 14 landed , a few lost coming in to boat ,all released most just under size, till call last cast and pulled in a nice 57 cm model ,this one released into esky.While out there noticed a large school of tailor working bait well in from bar entrance ,lost a few placs to these.
