Fish ID Please

Caught this fellow in the upper reaches of Maroochy River on a Soft plastic. Is this a Brown Mowong? Or any suggestions?

Morwong or blubberlip impresive arent they ? Have caught heaps of them in the tweed back in the early 90's heard they get bigger in the brissy river yet to see one.

Are you sure it is not a grunter? When I click on the picture to enlarge it just comes up the same size and makes it hard to really tell. When you post your pics can you make them around the 600x450 size

definatly not a grunter it's a Blubber lip bream for sure..

Yep definitely a blubber lip bream.
They get rather large, saw a bloke up round hill creek 1770 with one around the 4kg mark said he had caught bigger ones:shocked: .
