oil slick at wynnum manly harbour

I filmed this yacht leaving an oil slick behind for about 200m as it left the manly boat harbour today.

I contacted the coast guard and they went out and informed the occupants and filed a marine incident.

Looks like the motor shit itself and they seemed oblivious to it. Available in HD ::)

looking closely at that video i can only see him slightly cock his head toward aft once and that was when the second boat was coming up beside him. So it would appear he had no idea. you would have thought it would be a bit noisey?

True, and he should be keeping a good lookout at all times, 360 degree around his veseel while underway... obstruction is no excuse.

Some people are a bit oblivious to anything that isnt directly in front of their nose it seems, or under it... or IN it! :)
