hi all
i just brought some braid line from ebay couldnt resist at the price, just wondering what your thought are on the brand as i havent used it before.

payed $33 delivered:o if its no good i can always use it to hold up the tomatoes;D

IMHO I reckon it will be excellent for holding up the tomatoes.
It is a quite thick, flat braid and it's not particularly smooth. It also can have a breaking strain much lower than specified, from my experience.
By being coarse, it tends to make joining knots break at a much lower BS than a you would expect.
I think the better option would be a better Spectra braid like Fins, PowerPro, Platil etc and get it when it is on special at one of the big stores.
Sorry about that, but that is what I have discovered with it.

Spot on mate...Same thing here...now i use Fireline. its expensive but way worth the price

Honestly, the brand "Pelagic" has always sounded alarm bells for me.

Don't skimp $ on braid....you'll find yourself buying better anyway....Fireline, Stren Microfuse - are a couple I use...

yer thanks fellas i thought as much when i was bying it but for the price i just had to get it. if it looks to good to be true then it usually is. might have to save this 1 for a gift for some poor fella

If you want to know the truth...peel off 3 or 4 meters and send it off to Paulus.....he'll test it and put the truth up on his site for all to see.
