There are a number of kayak fishing comps starting to appear on the local scene at the moment. The most notable are the KFT and the new ABT/Hobie kayak and the wivenhoe kayak/canoe convention events to name just a few.
The KFT & wivenhoe events are a catch photograph and release event with the KFT still having 2 rounds remaining in Sunny coast estuaries. Details can be found at http://kft.net.au .
The ABT events are based on the popular ABT rules for boats and involve a live weigh in. These were announced today and they have included rounds in all states with Queensland rounds being named at Gold Coast, Redcliffe and Noosa with a state specific final and Angler of the Year points etc. Full details for these events will be posted on the ABT website on September 4.
Whether you want to take your kayak fishing to the next level or just learn more about fishing for bream or bass or even check out a well decked out kayak then these are the places you should be getting yourself to.
