Yesterday morning, I saw some rods and reels for sale in the classified section.

They were still there early this morning, so I sent the selling member a PM about 6.40am offering to buy all three lots that were offered for sale.

When I got home after lunch today, I checked to see if the seller had replied to my PM. He hadn't.

I then checked the classifieds, but noticed that 2 of the lots originally offered for sale had disappeared. Gone. Not there. Can't be found. Don't know where they are.

Is this normal? Have they been sold to somebody else? Or have they been withdrawn from sale?

If they have been withdrawn from sale, why put them up for sale in the first place? Not happy Jan. >:(

unfortunatley this is pretty standard practice.. its not like ebay which is more real world instantenious..

often the reels might have been sitting on there for some time .. and sold for some time before you send the pm... it awakens him and he just removes it..

No Choppa, it's not that ad.

They first appeared on 30 August.

Two of them, the ones I was interested the most, disappeared after I sent my PM offering to buy all three lots. There was no other PM's from anybody else. The third lot is still offered for sale. Don't really want it, but would take it if I was to get the other 2 as well.

mmmmmm dunno then mate,,,,, as far as i'm aware you only have an hour to edit an ad once its placed ,,,,,,(i read that somewhere,,,,),,,,

so if it was there yesterday and this morning,,,, i'm at a loss,,,,

Just checked the seller's feedback. No bids retracted either as buyer or seller so I guess they've been sold.

Somebody might have bought them before my PM was sent and the lots were withdrawn as a result?

Devastated. Absolutely devastated. One of the lots was a Shimano Sedona 2500 reel with braid on one of the spools. Couldn't wait to show it off to Pinhead and tell him it was my snapper reel extroardinaire. :'(

mate i may be able to help out here if your only chasing a snapper reel,,,, i spotted a new shimano that i have forgotten about in the stand yesterday,,,, no use to me as i have 2 in operation now,,,,, wait til i get home latter and i'll post it up,,,,
