I picked up a Penn Pinpoint rod for $50 today at The Tackle Warehouse.
Had a whole rack of different models for anyone who is interested. Even the wife said it was a good bargain....

Both Baitcasters and Spin. Picked up a BC myself.
Thinking of sneeking out tomorrow for some milk and a spin as well....

Looked in K**** today. Had a 7'2" High modulus graphite rod for $50.
3-5Kg.
Any news on the quality of the blank? Have K got a lot of cheap but good quality rods of this model?
The reel fittings and guides seemed ordinary but the blank seemed quite good.
Regards, Rob.

I think I know the rods.. I can't speak from experience, but I agree with you, the guides and reel seat were rather sad, but the blank seemed very good.

That's the rods I was thinking of, Tsunami.
Just picked up one of my favourite work horse sticks for dam barra, Penn Pinpoint 56BCH 6 kg bait caster for 50 bucks, that is great buying!

A good rod for the bucks. The 56BCH 'used to be' my preferred weapon in png for bass & barra matched with a Penn 965 International.
That was until the voice in my head told me that I needed to upgrade my gear more to more top shelf stuff...!!?? Then other rods kind of superseded it.
In 2005 that Penn Pinpoint cost me $120.00 from Tweed Heads Tackle Warehouse. Even then I thought it was a good buy & I still have it.
I suspect it was the very rod I caught the black bass on in my avatar.
For $50.00 a good score...

I picked up one of those Tsunami rods some time ago.
Was expecting to pay $59.95 at the K..., but when I went through the checkout, it was only $7.45. Never said a word, just kept walking. Pretty quickly too.
When I got to the car, I saw that the bar code sticker had "Prawn net black" on it.
Picked it up for $9.95 less 25% as they were having a sale. Out of all the Tsunami rods that were there, I just happened to pick this one.
Needless to say, I was back the next day, but couldn't find any more with the wrong bar code on them.
I love showing people my $7.45 Tsunami rod/prawn net. It's still got the bar code sticker on it to back up my story.
Wouldn't mind checking out those Penn Pinpoint rods though.
