Have done a lot of googling on Rapala premium hardbody lures, and the choice seems to be between the X-Rap magnums and the Count Down Magnums

X-Rap have the moulded plastic bib, and the Count Downs have the metal bib.

X-Raps seem to be good for higher trolling speeds.

What do people think are the better lure our of these two to stock up on some good colours?

Both look good.

cheers

Mick

There's also the plastic bibbed floating magnum which are a bit hard to come by.

mick i have caught more fish on the magnums but the only prob is they get f$%^&d up really easy all you need is one good mack or who and then you have to fill a heap of little or big holes with araldite otherwise they become water logged and dont swim the x-raps are good and tough though but i would say change the hooks to jigging singles cause they have a really good action and the trebles eat into the sides but thats only my veiw i only buy x-raps now (lazy fisherman)but still have a few beat up magnums for when things are slow.
try the orange and yellow(hothead),red head(qantas),and blues(baitfish)
have a good one

I love the CD 18 in Qantas colours. Never fails and always seems to do better than others......Two for the price of one.......
