hey all,

Anyone know where I can get oversized snap lock bags for freezing whole fish like Snapper, Pearlies etc.

Looking at 50 x 50cm and bigger?

might be cheaper in the long run to use a vacuum bag/sealer.

there is a shop at Stafford... can't remember the name or the street though, but

drive down Appelby rd towards the city, and cross Stafford rd into Shand st. take the first left and drive to the end. at the end, on the left, is a shop that sells packaging supplies and party supplies.

They have big zip lock bags in there, in bulk

cheers

Mick

don't know anywhere here, i get mine as a by-product of importing kiteboarding kites that are vac-bagged to save on freight. dunno exact size but they are big, maybe 90 x 50 or something. how many you after navi? might be able to arrange something when you up here in october...that's if i don't use em all up the cape before then!!

Thanks guys,

Tropicrows - those cryovac? machines are about $300. We also need it for a charter trip so snap lock bags are a bit quicker.

Trueblue - cheers mate, really appreciate it. I am on the Northside so will pop over and have a look.

Wheezer - still finalising Oct but work keeps gettting in the way. Will keep you posted. Bags are primarily for our august trip. I bought another dogfight :( mayeb should have got a 6500EXP instead.
