Thumbs up for the new Symetres.

I bought a new Symetre 2500FJ last friday and gave it a gutful of good braid and fished it over the weekend. I must say that the new FJ series is well above the older models in feel and they are simply a real pleasure to use. Apart from the Palladin gearing of the Stradic, the Symetre is every bit as good a reel and lots more affordable.

I have a feeling i will cycle a lot of my working spinning reels into Symetres over the next year or two.

Jack, buying tackle is just like computers. If you are happy not to have the leading edge stuff it only takes a season or two until the midrange stuff catches up and even surpasses the original item at a much more affordable price point
