Last Saturday went out fishin on my hobie kyak with my stella 1000 and 2lb bream rod. I was trolling my roosta popper in 4.5m swells when i saw a humungous splash in the water and my rod started going off. I was being towed by this humungous fish for over two hours when it finally started giving up;D
Half an hour later the fish loomed out of the 650ft of deep blue water. I noticed that it was almost as long as my kyak. When I got it next to my kyak a realised that it was a huge spanish mackrel. I then towed the fish in behind the hobie all the way back to shore. I got to the boat ramp and asked around for a set of scales. It bottomed out a 50kg set of scales.:o
Sorry no pics as my phone was lost at sea.:'(

ROFLOL;D

He was in a 4.5m swell and 650 feet of water so he may well believe that his rod is indeed 2 kg;)

I'd be happy just out there catching a fish! but 50kg's sure it wasn't 50 pound's which is a hell of a fish for any body to catch!! good job
