been on order for some months
maybe discontinued now??
would anyone know of availability in aus without contacting the states

tackle warehouse have had it on order for about 3 mths from those people i would assume as they list t/whouse as their local agent
penn have discontinued some lines it may be one of them

I would email them directly. I had a shimano issue and contacted shimano aust. Sent part 2 days later.

I have bought stuff from Scott's before with no problems. They take PayPal to.
Postage is fairly expensive as they use a 'standard' small box, but if you have a number of older reels you need parts for and/or want to stock up on bits, it works out more economical. It might be a good idea if you want to keep your 8500ss going as they said Penn is no longer "supporting" it and spares are drying up even in the US.
