Hi Skusto,
Pm QF3 MROCOP. He is a member of the Redcliffe Coastguard and holds courses for VHF Competency. The cost is around $145.00.

victoria point vmr also runs a course which maybe at raby bay now.... but imo you should sit the mf exam .... you sit through the lessons anyway and the questions are well covered and easy enough to gain the 70% pass mark even if youre a bit of a dufus....
even if you only use vhf the mf is something you may need someday and you wont have to resit for it.....
you are mailed the results about 2 weeks after sitting the test....
cheers chris

Skutso:
Where are you located? The course is run by a variety of Coast Guard and VMR's along the coast line.
If you want some more info, send me a PM (private message) and I'll put you in the right direction.
We're on the North side of the river - Redcliffe if that is of any help... give me PM and we'll get you educated, examined and let you lead by example!!
regards

Did mine a couple of weeks ago at Vic.Point VMR for $130.
Got the results back at 96%, meaning I missed 1 question out of the 25, damm.
