Kawana waters help

Just after some tips about fishing around kawana any spots I should check out or anything? Been reading a little about chopper tailor in the mooloolah river system in the arvo/evening and bream at the weir on the high tide. Mostly hoping to get some tailor or flathead, if I catch anything in the salt water i'll be happy 9never have much luck). Is there anything I should take espesially or just bring all my plastics and bream lures and hope for the best?
