I went out towards St Helena this morning to see if whiting were on the chew at all but found the water very clear and even though there were fish visible, they were very flighty in 1.6 metres of water.

Had a little detour looking for a rod and reel that fell over while travelling over shallow ground and hooked it up with the anchor when it was spotted in the clear water. Thanks go to Ryan for the quick response to it falling overboard.

We went over to Mud for a while to see what everyone raves about and found some interesting ground to look at with more interest on a night fish.

Also found some squid areas so will target some fresh bait from there for chasing a snapper.

The Weather was kind all day and I must say the Colmslie ramp and pontoon could be a little larger for the volume of fishermen that use the ramp

Still a top day with good company

Cheers
Chris

i agree and they could fix the bloody lights as well, and the people with the dogs that park in trailer parks are damn ignorant.

Speaking of St Helena, anyone have any idea why St Helena is a Green zone, and not the near by Mud Is?

(Sorry, not wanting to steal your thread)

Apparently they did a study and these are the recommendations of that study.

Yeah right.

Colmslie needs more boat parking as well, or to penalise ordinary cars parking in boat trailer spots.

pitiful number of parks

cheers
