New Member can't start a thread

I've been informed that someone who joined a couple of months ago hasn't been able to start a thread. he can log on and read, but that's all.

Anyone any ideas? His user name is "cast net" if admin is reading.

Has the account been activated? I have had this problem on other forums and cannot post until the account has been activated by an Admin.

Dunno? How can you tell if it has or hasn't?

Should say up the top of the forums, or does anything come up when trying to post?
