"Travacalm Original" work well for me. Never been sick once when taking one before going out.

Oh, I know;) ;D
I've been told that you can get an injection at your GP. Has anyone ever had one of these?

Young Gun,
My brother put me on to Avil tablets - you can get them over the counter at the chemist and they've worked well for me and my kids.
Usual warnings about drowsiness etc. but they've never seemed to affect me.
I am also a big fan of ginger as a calming substance.
I normally have a couple of cans of Ginger Beer in the boat when I go outside.
Hope this helps,

best cure for sea sickness is to sit under a big shady gum tree!
other than that kwells or travel calm , one the night before and one before you go in the morning. if this does no good landbased may be the best option.

Ask your doctor if you can have some Stemitil tablets.
TRY them out before the trip if you have not taken them before they can have severe side effects on some people !!!!
99.9 % of people are fine with them but there is a risk and you don't want to spoil a days fishing :-)
Backup some sugared ginger to chew and some ginger beer to drink.

Mind over matter....just keep trying to focus on the horizon & just hope no-one needs to do a cr_p over the side of the boat while you're out there.
That happened to me once off Yamba just after a cheese sandwich & I was hooking up on two fish at a time (snapper). I couldn't keep the horizon in focus as I had to keep looking down to attend to the fish & re-baiting the hook.
Then the bit of (soiled) newspaper the bloke had used floated right past me and that was it. I wished I never had that cheese sandwich 3 minutes earlier - almost choked on it!
I'm not sure about tabs...but the horizon works as long as you keep it in view, (at least thats what the blind man said to his deaf friend)

keep your guts full of bread to stop the fluid sloshing around, and take a dramamine tablet 1/2 hr before you go

I use Kwells. They are chewable and best used 30 min before you head offshore.

My father and wife both take Kwell and it works for them. I swear by ginger and eat as much as I can the few days before going out in rough conditions. You can also get natural ginger extract tablets as an alternative to Kwell and others which may also help.

kwells for me, half hour before venturing out, also as another person said keep the horizon in view. I find that looking at a bait board or something against the water also works because you can see the movement.
If you do get sick, an icy cold bucket (just a small bucket) of seawater down the back of the neck works a treat.
If you take kwells, make sure you take plenty of water, they dry you out a bit and make you real thristy.
Failing any of these, keep your stomach working, graze on biscuits, chips, lollies all day.
Ginger, well thats enough to make me hurl without being on the water, can't stand the taste

I just use dray jatz biscuits, as the stomach just needs something to do to take its mind off being out of balance.

Hey mate! I get terrible sea sick and over the last two years, the ET tablets have been my only savior! Kwell, travelcalm... none of thoes worked for me but these et tablets are great! about 40$ and you get a vial of twenty or so pills, that you take once every four or so hours. There great! :D

I am one of those lucky people that never gets sick out there however for the benefit of the deckies that aren't so fortunate I pack a box of Kwells on board just in case they need one. I believe they work well.
