cabbage tree point boat ramp

hey guys does anyone know whats going on with the ramp at cabbage tree point, it was suppose to be closed on the 1st of june but went down there yesterday and its still open, just wondering if anyone has heard anything.or they are just going to surprise us with a start date, cheers bennykenny

One gathers that given the outcry the city fathers and their staff were going to go back to the drawing boards and see if the job could be staged so that half of the ramp was worked on at a time leaving the other half in operation.

Perhaps the fact the closure has been delayed means that the above is being considered or maybe they will press on as planned but they are late. Time will tell.

Thanks I was wondering if it was closed as yet. I hadn't seen any Notices to Mariners put out about the closure yet so was thinking work hadn't started just yet.

Have a chat to the local bait & tackle shop. The new owner was on Nugget's show on Sunday morning talking about it. Said much the same as Chimo from memory.

i heard paul burt talking to the bait shop owner on sunday morning

they said it had been put on hold untill they can work out hour to do it in sections rather than all in one go

i guess they had enough complaints about it and changed there mind
