The fish are all still outside the mouth. That river will never regain it's glory until the mouth is fixed

The fish are around, we fished a spot part way between the mouth and the cod hole.

Last night I picked up -

1x nice fat 34cm bream
2x legal bream
2x just undersize bream
2x perch
1x 42cm estuary cod

Mate caught a 32cm bream, 27cm bream and a couple of undersized

Dad caught a few smaller undersized/just legal bream and a couple of perch.

Blokes near us caught a couple of really good bream as well.

Mate, I know what you mean! I went out today targeting Bream/Cod, casting plastics at a submerged fence on a rockwall where there is usually thousands of the things. End result was only one Moses Perch for 4Hours casting various plastics. >:(

I think they are Puddy Nose Perch

I've been watching HUGE schools of bream around there lately. Biggest fish exceeding 40cm and very fat. You just need a yak to fish there.

Moses Perch - http://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/image/0003/163533/mosses-perch.jpg Plenty of them at a regular spot of mine. Though there were a lot more of them in summer. In summer we barely caught any bream there, but plenty of perch, now it's cooler there are scores and scores of bream but very few perch.

Yeah, not sure I'd want to eat any from in there though. That said, I only keep probably 1 fish for every 50 legals I catch anyway.

You just have to get out of the main river imo. Too many water rockets and loud weekend anglers banging around anchors, beer bottles and sinkers in their tinnies.

Matt.

Thanks Troops.

Yeh I know about the plaza but fishing in the middle of the shopping centre is not my idea of a relaxing trip.

Perhaps a stealth trip one week night.
