Fuel Filter

Hi Guys,

Was heading out of the sea way this morning and motor suddenly decides to slowly die and then rev then die then rev then die then rev. I kept going thinking i might burn out some bad fuel in the line. I got out to the 24's and had a fish till sun up. We got our bag of trag and then decided to move spots. I then noticed the fuel filter to be dripping a heap of fuel. Im guessing it has rusted out or has a loose hose fitting.

Are these cheat to buy and easy to replace myself?

75hp Mercury or as my mate calls it (black anchor).

i have a 75 Mariner, or a Mercury with a silver cowling. Mine is external, mounted to the top of the transom.
It should be as simple as screwing it off, and screwing the new one on. Then prime her up and off you go.
