Weather forecast will change alot between now and Saturday. Make plans to head out by all means but make sure you have a backup if the weather creates conditions beyond your capabilities/comfort zone. Don't be afraid to call it off if necessary to preserve the safety of yourself and your crew.

wait till Friday night before you make the call to go. I've seen 12 footers there before on a good day.

I plan on going as well.
If you reckon it gets a bit rough for the tinny, give me a yell. We might have some space for a couple of guys (provided weather holds)

Cheers

I was thinking of heading to the same area and i've only got a 4.1 tinny. But as other have said don't get to excited yet just wait for friday!

G.

P.S.
Be careful, even talking about it can jinx the weekend and bring along strong SE breezes, we may already have :-X

355avk - do you launch from Redcliffe or Mooloolaba? Thats a huge trip otherwise from Reccliffe to Murphy's? Just curious? Hey Skusto - bad luck on the parking fine today. Obviously those law enforcers on today aren't fellow fisho's! Cheers, Darren

G'day,

Car parks were full and the street was pretty full for a long way in each direction from the ramps when I went out at 04:00. I parked on a grassy knoll in one of the beach access parks. Didn't get booked.
