The specs for the Shimano 662 sp rod say line weight 3-5 kg, I have a Daiwa Samauri 3i 1500 reel loaded with 2kg berkley fireline. y question is will the rod in question be within the specs for mainly the line weight, as though fireline is rated at 2 kg it mostly breaks around 4 kg. Also this combo is mainly for casting soft plastics for Bream and Bass, so would the rod cast them adequately. I am interested in this rod as i fish mainly from a kayak and am trying to pick a rod that is no longer than 6ft 6 ins, as most of the Bream casting rods are 7ft+.
