What type of spinners were ypu using. I have 3 metal slugs, mostly raider 45gm.
and don't seem to get any strikes.

Whart part of Cabarita was you catching them. I'm not familiar with the area being from Brisbane?

any slug 25 to 65 will get hit. Anywhere off rocks or beaches are producing just find a "point"and hopefully theyre there.

Bondy,
If you are serious about getting into spinning you shoulg get a reel that is 5:1 retrieve ratio or better, something like a stradic or an old TSS-4. You wont have to wind your arm off to get the lure moving. There is a very good video on the coastwatch website on spinning the seawaythat would help you a lot

With reel I'll make an investment in that one you metnioned but will use the one I have in the meantime.

The other one will be on the to get list
