Reef or not?

Was playing around on Google Earth and noticed this (in the pic), to the north east of Green. Is it a small reef or something else?
I've been fishing around Green for the last few weeks, but never seen any boats in that particular area.
Anyone got any details on it (depth?), or is it some weird blemish in the photo?
Next time I'm out that way, I'll run over it with the sounder.... assuming it's not too shallow?

yea its a fair size patch. on the sounder doesnt show much of a drop off.. bout 10-15 ft depth depending on tide....

tried there a few times with not much luck.. but the little channel inbetween the main reff at green and the patch is a goer. ;)

try that and youll pick up a few pan size squire and a few grassies

Thats pretty much what I was thinking. I was curious as I always see the line of boats further south.
I've been fishing close in along the Eastern side where it drops from 2-4m, not with much luck, but seems like a logical spot to keep trying, and noticed that spot when checking out the area on Google Earth.
Now that this post is up, I'm sure that little patch and surrounding area will be a car park come the weekend.

I have fished it once before as well. There was a yacht wreck I think it may have been called Jenny K or something similar, unless I am mixing the name with another wreck. But whatever it is called, it is there. It is located either at or near the mark you have circled. When we first sounded it, the sounder went crazy. But didn't get a legal fish. Would be worth another look though. I have not been back as I do not fish that area any longer. Good luck.

I have fished it too with only a few small fish landed, i have had more luck on the drop off on the NE corner.
