how to attract live bait?

does anyone know how to attract live bait
me and my mate are trying 2 get some live herring and mullet out the back of his house in the canals but we dnt now how can any1 help

try a castnett, or give a bait jig a go, the ones with a small white tag

Try at night with a bright light. Bait jigs / berley & a cast net.

A green flouro shining over the water or better yet submerged in the water attracts them quickly. Something about green makes fish very inquisitive.
