While the boat was in for service last week, i had to fish LB, and picked up a fat 52cm jack on mullet strip. Got the boat back, and picked up a 47cm last night at high tide, also on mullet strip. The water temp is still warm up here in the creeks at hervey bay, despite the cold nights.

I have done some lure fishing too, but only picked up grunter on Atomic Prong, (sorry no pics that day).

the key to the jacks seems to be scoping out places that nobody goes to, and fishing early evening. If its harder to get to cos youve gotta pass a few sandbars, then thats the spot where the fish will be playing.

cheers
Andrew

Nice jacks there Andrew, did you get your outboard problem sorted out? If so what was the problem?
Marty.

No marty, the boat is still playing up. Change of electrics didnt fix it. We are replacing fuel lines and tank, and I will update the Boating post when I get an answer. Thanks for asking tho. Andrew

Hey Andrew,

Good to see you found a nice honey hole up there - Jacks have really slowed down here (no that they really fired here this Summer - another shocker weather wise!)
