Hey mate,
I dont fish Byron so i can't put you onto any spots but there are still areas that can be fished, mainly from the beach. You could also try up and down the coast where there are still plenty of spots within a short drive. Do a search on the Cape Byron Marine Park and you can download a map of all of the zones. Good luck

Sorry mate,
Forgot to add best place for HB and softies would be at Brunswick Heads. Nice little river with plenty of jacks. Some green zones though which you would have to look up.
