Tweed River saturday

Hey,

This is my first report on here,

So we went to kingscliff for the weekend, on friday we tried some beach fishing (i tried for the first time) in pitch black, couldnt see a thing and the current was crazy, i managed to do a good cast (trying to get use to the weight and holding on with more than 1 finger while casting) and the line just ended up running along the beach,

so i had no luck there but there were reports that on wednesday people were catching tailor and flatheads in a gully outside the bowlsclub,

So we decided to head up to the tweed river, went right under the bridge (cant remember which one sorry) and had 6 lines in as there was 6 of us, water was very dirty so i didnt think we would catch more than a few cat fish,

Ended up catching 6 legal size bream, so not to bad, threw about another 5 back in because they were a bit under. also caught a eel,

so in the end wasnt a bad day, caught them all on sliced mullet, they wernt biting the prawns or the gulp worms green/red ones, maybe to brown or something? never used plastics before
