Left Wello at 4.30am and headed over to Green.
Bit quiet to start with, then about 6am fish started coming on board at regular intervals. No definate bite time, just fish here and there all morning.

Total Keepers were

4 squire 37-40cm
2 flattys 62 and 57cm
1 Cod 47cm

Also got a huge Morwong, well over 70cm, a nice parrot and the usual vermin.

Sounds like a better morning than ours was. If you have any pics of the MILF add them to this thread I started a while back...

You ended up with a very nice feed there. I have not fished Green for over a year now:'(. It might be time to revisit the old happy hunting grounds;D

I was out there and only got the undersized ones. Were you at the northern point with those other boats. I was drifting about centre of green with a white 4.2 metre tinny. Good to see someone pulled some fish in ovr size. Well done.

We were around the bottom end mainly, most fish along the reef edge. The yellow cardinal marker has been holding the flat ones lately ;)

I would say most of that is still correct, we just use lighter leader than that.

Hey Beefman havn't fished around Green before, had a look around there on Monday, fished the eastern side but it was just weedy flats. Any tips for fishing around Green. Which side is the best, what depth and is there any reefy dropoffs or bommies around the island? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Green is good in the early morning and at night but I have had little success there in full daylight hours.

Eastern side is pretty good mate, you just need to find the reef edge, which is not really close to the island at all.

If you use SPs then pumpkinseed will be the best, on a 1/8th heavy wire jighead.

Chongs info is pretty good.
