G'day guys,
I would like to buy a good knot tying and rigging book if there is such a thing on the market. If anybody could suggest one I would greatly appreciate your help.

Cheers, Jado

I've got one it's by Grant Hislop but can't seem to find it sorry, forget the title. If you go to K-M-art you'll find a whole section of em'.

AGree, Geoff Wilson has several versions of the same thing. The biggest is "Encyclopedia of knots and rigs" or something like that. Rigging is included if you are talking about rigging baits and stuff but if you mean crimping and traces you will need to look elsewhere, and the only one I can find including crimping is as a part of "Bluewater Fishing" by Lawrie McEnally, but is only a small section. There is much more on the Pakula web site but that relates mostly to marlin. My interest is in tuna and mako shark rigs but I am making my way on my own there. These books area all out of the AFN stable so a look there will dazzle you with choices.

If you are going to buy and australian book you might as well buy the geoff wilson book, because almost without exception the knot diagrames in australian publications are drawn by him anyway.

One thing though......some of the knots as illustrated are hard to tie and there are other ways..... and some very usefull and effective knots that aren't in there....it is a good place to start though.
