Baffle Ck

Dropped in for a quick fish on the way home from Awoonga last week. Stayed at Baffle Bob's in an onsite van. Very ordinary to say the least, though its a nice enough place if you take your own tent/van.

Baffle is loaded with potential. We only had a couple hours in the afternoon and next morning - but what we saw was encouraging and a few nice fish came to the boat. Lots of sand bars downstream and rockbars upstream make it difficult to navigate. Local knowledge helped.

Most of our fish were caught in the morning fish upstream from Bob's. A mixture of flathead, bream, cod, trevally and jack. Not huge - but we were happy for our first time. Definitely going back.

Got the jack on a plastic - most of the others on SX40.

Nice mate, very nice.. we're there for a week soon. Land based now though after I wrote my boat off on wednesday... We'll have a couple of small kayaks, so hopefully enough to get to some better spots where we can get out of the yaks and flick from the bank.

I looked at google, looks shallow, no distinct channel.
Would be a great weeks fishing, river & reef.

It didn't look like it to me. But we were there on low tide. Maybe the locals might know.
