new rod for casting lures long???

hey guys am wanting to do some fishing over easter landbased as im not taking to the boat with me. hoping to target some trevs an will need to get some distance on my cast. im thinking a rod about 8ft im not real sure i was hoping some of you guys that do this kind of fishing could suggest a few rods my price range isnt huge but still willing to spend abit to get a nice rod! any ideas would be great!!

I use a Team 7' Daiwa Saltwater Med/Hev to cast metals slugs off the seaway rockwall. Get plenty of distance with that. They also come in 8' too.

depending what size trevs your targeting but i also have a saltwater series 12-20lb rod and agree its an awsome casting rod
