I was up on Somerset all day Saturday. Wind from the Southwest light to moderate, water temp 24.5 degrees. My Son and I tried everything, from trolling across schooled up fish to casting lures. We tried with no success, very disappointing to say the least. We didn't have any luck the weekend before either. We are new to the freshwater scene on Somerset, but have many years experience Trout fishing. Trouble is, Bass ain't Trout and there appears to be a whole new discipline to learn here.
We are both determined not to be beat by these Bass and will be back as often as work permits. Love the lake, its beautiful.
Now, if we can just suss these suckers out.......
cheers
Paul :P

So Clay Did you go?
Beautiful Weather, I have not long got home from Roma it was pouring buckets most of the way and Kilcoy was copping a real hammering as are we on the 'Sunny' coast.
At least it should have kept the crowd down.
