Any recommendations on a decent rod/reel combo for targeting and catching snapper in moreton bay.... under $200 for combo?

If you are after a shallow reef plastic outfit my Strudwick 2-4kg stick with a Penn Applause 2000 on it accounted for hundreds of Bay Snapper to mid 70cms. I picked them up on special for less than $150.00 which leaves room for braid and some other bits and pieces.

if you are using bait maybe the Shimano baitrunner 4500 matched with a Shimano Catana 701 Snapper rod, I think that would put the price abit over the $200 dollar mark though.
Anyway goodluck in your choice.

shimano stradic 2500 and sahara 702 at BCF for $229...finishes today.
i picked one up yesterday...had a bash this morning and it was great...flicking 1/32oz jig heads 40-50m with ease.
well i know it finishes today (20-03) at bcf maroochydore...not sure about other stores...guess they would run identical promos.

Yeah finishes today. I picked up a berkely attack 2 piece 6'6" 3-5kg graphite rod combo today. $79 not bad IMO. The daiwa looks the goods but for a more 'high end' rod.
