Can anyone please recommend a fishing guide for the Darwin area.

I have a mate coming up soon and we are all pitching in to get him a guide for a day or two for his b'day.

He likes flicking lures and we would prefer a tour without 20 people using handlines to bottom bash.

Any adivce/testimonials would be greatly apprciated.

Cheers

Pete

Hows it going mate

What are you chasing, does he want to hit the barra or head out and hit the reefs

Haha. good mate, nice profile pic.

I think barra. It will be early May when he comes up too, so he'll miss the runoff.

I would hire a house boat for a few days on Corroboree billabong, its only about an hour from Darwin. I have never fished there without getting a barra yet. You don’t need a guide, you can cruise around trolling and flick a few at the snags as you go along,

Would have to agree with George, a lot of guys I know up here do the same thing your other option is to look at something like BARRA BASE http://www.barrabase.com.au/
