went out crabbin again today with the missus in the new spot i found......took 8 dillies checked them 3 times for 26 crabs not bad considering we didnt leave manly till 6.30and back in by 10....so pretty well crabbed with bugger all run in the tide.......cheers rosco....

nice catch off crabs mate , i thought the rougher water would shut them down , did you have any trouble getting the dillies to sit still ?

nah mate...got some heavy rings for the dillys made years ago....they hold the bottom really well.....i was crabbin 6.5 mtrs of water and had a good 15 mtr of rope out.....need lots of rope with the bigger tides and rough weather...cheers

You're not wrong, it was pretty windy today!

When we get a patch of good weather I will be out there in a shot. Might have to take a "mental health day" in the middle of next week *cough cough*

I will let you know when I am heading out and how I go. Thanks again for the info!

any tips as to even the rough area of the bay you were in? I would be very keen to have a go at some crabs between now and Easter... PM me even if you prefer... Cheers.
