You bewdy, the brother has just left after kindly picking up the new Lowrance from BCF Labrador for me. Was supposed to go down Thursday, but doctor wouldn't clear me for driving.

Anyway, I don't know how BCF sell them for that price ( final price was $499.50). Don't care, i have it now ;D :D . I must say, we all at times bag bad service, and alot of times the bagging is to BCF. But I have to say after ringing BCF Labrador a few times this week, and dealing with Terry each time, credit where credit is due, Terry you were great to deal with, you are a credit to BCF. Thanks for the great service.

Anyway, with what looks like at least 2 to 3 weeks before I can get back into a boat, gives me a while to mount it in the boat. then sit in the boat playing with it and learning. ;D :D

Oh yeah, the unit I got was a Lowrance 5200 with external antenna.

Cheers

A very happy

Still looking for a map card mate.

BCF Labrador wanted $289, I reckon we can do alot better than that.

Thanks Mike,
I have just started to look around myself. Whitworths have them for the same price. Will let you know if I find a better price.

You have the same model Lowrance? The map card i looked at was Rosslyn Bay to Yamba, which will do me fine

Mike

I have a new 7200c that I need a map card for. I already have a navionics gold card for Rosslyn Bay to Brisbane? in my combo unit (a 334igps).

The cheapest Navionics gold card I have found so far is $270 through gotya tackle. The other option is a Nautipath chart for $229 through CH Smith. You would have to add postage to both.

I have not used the Nautipath charts but understand that they are basically the same as the Navionic charts, just less detail in some areas.

Hi Mike, i work with Terry at BCF Labrador and passed on that you were very happy with both price and service, we appreciate your business and your comments.

Your Welcome Wayne. Credit where credit is due. All too often we are quick to complain and whinge but very slow to praise good service.

NauticPath are not half as good as the Navionics. Its not so much less detail, more complete lack of detail.

Also, get in touch with Navionics directly. They are willing to upgrade cards to the new XL9 gold charts that cover the whole of Australia. Cost me $121.55 for the upgrade.
