Daiwa Tierra Problem

Hi all,

Today i was given a Tierra 3000 as a gift. I took it home before i opened it to test out. What i found was after i wound the reel a few times it became really tight and wouldnt wind anymore unless excessive force was used. Then it becomes loose again and wind a few more times and tight again. I hope this makes sense.

Does anyone know what the problem is with it and is it common or a one off?

My concern is the person who gave me the reel did not keep the receipet and it was bought a couple of weeks ago. Would the store it was purchased from exchange it. You can see it is brand new condition and never been used.

sounds like a bent shaft......

take it back...... if it doesnt look like its been flogged it should be replaced or fixed.

the same thing happened to my daiwa exceller and it ended up being a bent shaft.
