Guys I want to spool up my Saragosa 14000 with 60lb Fins PRT braid. Does any body know the capacity for this reel with braid? I was going to get 300 yards but I dont want to take it all off and back it if isnt enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chers, Jado

dunno the line capacity with braid, but it will take 200 yds of 30lb mono, take it into your local tackle shop and ask them, then you can get them to spool it up for you while your there.

You will get 600yds easy, with backing! Just curious, what are you using it for?

got a saragosa 18000 with 300m of 80lb jigman with backing,,, more capacity than the 14000.. told if going for 50lb go the 14000 which will hold 300 mtres and backing, if going 80lb go the 18000 etc

Jado, I recon 50-60lb is perfect for the Saragosa, tough little M----- F-----;)

The Saragosa 14000 takes 320m / 20lb mono line @ ave .44mm Dia = PE7
Fins PRT 60lb = PE6 @ ave .405mm

Therefore the 14000 spool will hold 400m / 60lb fins
or 275m [300yd] / 60lb Fins and 40m / 50lb mono @ .70mm backing

Cheers ;D

I was going to do a bit of jigging for Kingies, I am trying to find a T-curve 200 jig rod to match it up with. I thought iw would be a good little outfit and maybe do a little bit of bottom bouncing with it also.
