Is what you are calling the anti-reverse ratchet, really an anti-reverse ratchet or a clutch part.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the only anti-reverse on this reel was the one way roller bearing.

sorry, got ahead of myself. in the "B" series reel, there is an anti-reverse pawl to match up with the anti-reverse ratchet. the "B" series calcutta is nice because it has two anti-reverse mechanisms. alan

Yes I have an A series 700. Wish it was a B.
