Coochin

Took a run up to Coochin Creek to try and score a few Whiting and try out a few soft plastics. Tide had just turned to run out and fishing was fairly slow for the first hour or so. As the run picked up I scored a few good Whiting and a couple of Bream. Caught quite a few just undersized Grunter as well. Tried flicking soft plastics around the mouth of the creek with only a couple of half hearted hits , possibly Bream.8-)

Hi Tom,
The Whiting and Bream were all caught on blood worms. The Whiting aren't real fussed on much else up there.

Well done mate!
Just got back from Townsville, I have never seen so much water,! It rained solid for the four days I was there. Seeems not a lot of blokes up that way use SPs in estuarys, more HBs, at least according to tackle store guys.
Good to see you got back out on the water again. a few top fish there! I see you had a flick on the plastics as well...you will crack them. I saw a bloke on here say the only way to really start them is to go out with no bait and just flick them fullstop... mmm dont know if youre that keen. I have just about got my boat sorted out so hope to try the passage again later this week.
Cheers
