Hi
I am about to buy a chartplotter and have a Sounder here as well.
Just wondering if anyone had recommendations / est on cost to install the units.
I am located at Thorneside, Near Manly in Brisbane.
Cheers,
Steve

I agree with Ronnien - do it yourself and spend the money you will save on fuel or something else
Have a look at some other installation s on your mates boats - this will help you
Ensure that any cable ties you use are black as they last longer than the others and make sure you use stainless bolts / threads
The power must be taken from an unused fuse in the fuse box
Hope this helps

A few other details may be needed like...
has it has a separate aerial (and if so what sort of mount needed)?,
is it a replacement unit?,
If a fresh addition is there a spare fuse spot if there is a fuse panel?
Is it going to be mounted on dashboard or similar or is it going to be flush mounted in the dash?
Is the boat on a trailer or docked or dry birth?
Grand Marlin is the guy for jobs like this if you have not got the confidence to do it yourself :)

Hi
Ok No Spare fuse in the panel, These are not replacement units, the GPS is an Internal aerial, The units will both be mounted to the top of the dash on my side console (Brackets not flush) and the boat is on a trailer.

easy as to install! you wont have any drama's mate.
i run mine straight to the battery with the fuse on the positive as close to the battery as i could. done the same with the sounder, & they both work great.

Sounds like an easy installation. Do you have any handy tradie type friends who are looking for a free trip?

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the PM.
Yes, I can install them for you if needed.
