Talk about an impromptu M&G on the Bay today:
In my boat was myself with Aigutso and RakinRay
Others in attendance:
Marlin Mike and his deckie
Outsiderskip and his deckie
2DKnB
Longtail and his deckie.
I also heard that Blackened was out there also.
I also saw another boat at Whyte Island..a large black Al boat with Ausfish stickers on it..not sure who that was.
Don't know where the fish were but they weren't where we were.

I went out today. Saw 2DKnB back at ramp. Also saw Bretty J at the ramp yesterday as well. So I guess not alot working this week.
No fish for me today either.

Nope, why work? :)
The crowd was going to get bigger too as Marlin Mike asked me to go as well but a doctor said I had to say gidday so that fun buster of a doctor stuffed my day. :(
A day on the bay would have been nicer then getting 'examined' :D

Was a small army of ausfishers out there. Bigger turn out than an organized M&G :D
I managd one doggy, a nice 70cm. Thanks for the late tip Dave, got him where you said, dropped a whole pilly and he took it before it got to the bottom.
Good day even with the rain.;D As you can see, quite dull at Tangas - thats Pinhead and crew in the pic. Next time fishies we wont be so kind ......

Yep, I heard quite a few of you guys on the VHF.
Moonlighter had an excellent day fishing over at Peel Is, while you were all burning fuel in your big boats offshore! I was naturally careful to stay outside the GZ's!
See my post in saltwater inshore section.

The only people to let the rest of us know they were heading out was Mike.
That's what the " Going Fishing " section is all about ;D :P
I was 75% there, but staff came first, unfortunately.
I was heading out wider off Gold Coast Dessert, but decided I can wait until next week when the swell drops out. Then I will be hitting the sunny coast.
I will post a " going fishing " thread .....
I think most are trying to avoid going back to work, but next week will be a different story.
Your day will come Greg, and you'll break in that new Rod. ;D ;D
Maybe tag along with me on a sunny coast adventure... ?

Jez and myself also came across this this morning... that pot would be a 1.2 in diameter..... injuries are very very interesting, we took it into the beach and left it there for the hope of a ranger seeing it.
Any ideas?

No idea, I don't think it's a prop hit either, shell opening seemed to run down the shell most of the way..... but I could be wrong.
Total mystery to me

G/ day all just a quick thanx to Greg (Pinhead) for the trip in the "Yank Tank" top rig mate ! I think id better leave the BAY fishing to the Guru (Webby)after our shocker today ::) If anyone needs a pair of fishing pliers with all the gadgets then they should drop over to Mikes (Aigutso) place as he had about 8 pairs in his tackle box today :o Good company made up for the lack of fish and it also got Greg wondering about how far we could get on a full tank ;D Looks like that O/S trip is just around the corner ! Nice to also catch up with some of the Ausfish Boys and enjoy a "DAY OFF" ;D Might head down to PALMY thru the week while im still on holidays ;D Thanks again for the trip and look forward to the next one !

We missed you guys. I tagged along with Bayfisher but we did not leave until 1.00pm as I had to keep the wheels of industry turning for the morning.
The fish were very quiet with little bait available. I pulled a nice Cod and another smaller specimen on plackies but the Macs were very elusive.

Perish the thought.
That 'temporary' skipper has gotta be treading on delicate ground.
Bloody hell...no smoko on the 'Reef Princess'...what's the world coming too?? http://www.smileyhut.com/sad/depressed.gif

Marlin Mike - Thanks for a top morning. I've wanted to go over there for a while now and it was great to get a guided tour. I didn't catch any fish, but I wasn't alone there, and at least you showed how it was done. I picked up a heap of good tips, from fishing to general boating.
Sounds like I should add one more to the lessons learnt - "decky is responsible for smoko". Sorry mate, you should have mentioned it the night before - I'd have baked a cake ;) . That's a good call though - I'll have to drop the hint to my regular deckies! Thanks again.
