View Full Version : Jack Time

Went chasing Trevs for a few hour this morning, sadly there was no surface activity.
Shot a cast along the rock bar and was smacked by a hungry little Jack, a few pic and I was happy enough.
Fished for a while longer before being smashed, the rod buckled over and line started to peel in the direction of some nasty structure.
Managed to turn it, a few more big lunges towards freedom but I had it beat.
With the heart beating rapidly I manage a belly grip and landed my best Jack to date.
A few pics and a bit of a swim and it swam away no worse for the experience.
Both fish were caught on an Sx40, 4 lbs main and 4 lbs leader:o
Home by 6 am for a bit of a sleep in

On that gear a very good capture. I'd say most would lose some gear targeting them that light.
