Hi All,
Fished Wivenhoe today for the first time since the water level went up and it fished well. I managed 25+ bass and my mate got around 15+ bass for the day but unfortunately no size in them. Biggest was 40cm but the average was 30cm - 35cm. All were caught on a Jackal t/n60. Fished casting to the flooded grass in around 13 to 20ft of water. We started getting a few catfish at the start but quickly found out that if we increased the reteive speed a bit the bass would grab it, but if you paused to long the catty would get hold of it. In all it was a productive day.
Cheers
Jesper

Hi Jeremy,
We fished from a boat. The fish were out on the flooded flat's in the middle of the lake.
Cheers

In between billys bay and the cliffs? It was all catties there when i was chasing them a few weeks ago. We'll have to see if they are still in the same spot as last time.

Walked the bank for about 45 minutes after taking a detour coming home from a friends house who lives near by. Landed 1 50cm job and then hooked up onto a bigger fish a few minutes later which put the afterburners on right next to the bank and ran me through all the dead grass and managed to dehook itself. Called it when i terminally snagged my jackell:'(
